Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities safely and on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for all passengers.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and district policies strictly.
- Assist students in entering and exiting the bus safely, particularly those with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents, dispatchers, and school administration.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) or valid DOT medical card.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and driving record verification.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and split shifts.
