Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain orderly conduct on the bus
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and established schedules
- Complete accurate trip documentation and incident reports
- Maintain a clean and secure bus environment at all times
Qualifications
- Valid New York State CDL with School Bus endorsement (S)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and patience working with children
- Flexible availability for early morning/afternoon shifts
