Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight between distribution centers and customer locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues
- Complete all required paperwork including delivery confirmations and mileage reports
- Comply with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and DOT regulations
- Basic navigation skills and route planning abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and customer service skills
