Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) for regional deliveries
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for seamless loading/unloading operations
- Verify shipment documentation and ensure cargo security throughout transit
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of NJ/NYC metro area roadways
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices
- Reliable transportation to/from depot
