Responsibilities
- Operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for dedicated regional routes with predictable schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD) compliance
- Safely transport freight between Michigan distribution centers and Midwest terminals
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route optimization and delivery coordination
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Document incidents, delays, and maintenance issues using digital reporting systems
- Maintain professional communication with customers and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional experience with flatbed/van trailers
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment as needed
- Strong knowledge of Michigan/Indiana/Ohio road networks and traffic patterns
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Flexibility for overnight trips and occasional weekend work
