Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using digital tracking systems
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Adapt routes efficiently based on weather, traffic, and delivery schedules
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Uphold company safety policies and FMCSA regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight trips
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and freight handling protocols
