Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across North Carolina
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Pre-trip inspections and post-trip vehicle maintenance documentation
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds occasionally
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- Basic navigation skills and route planning ability
