Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (53' dry van reefers) for regional deliveries within California
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging (ELD) documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Secure cargo and maintain proper loading/unloading procedures
- Communicate shipment status and delays to stakeholders
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (company-provided)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Southern California roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for minor repairs
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
