Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight throughout San Jose Bay Area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain electronic logs and comply with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of San Jose metro area and surrounding routes
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings
