Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, aggregates, and debris to job sites across Lexington and surrounding areas
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting vehicle conditions and maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and local traffic laws while maintaining clean driving records
- Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors to ensure timely deliveries and efficient route management
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo security
- Complete accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and daily paperwork using our digital tracking system
- Represent Bluegrass Transport Solutions professionally at client sites and community locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck operation experience in construction/agricultural transport
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of local Lexington-area routes, construction sites, and weight station locations
- Physical capability to climb in/out of equipment, lift up to 60 pounds occasionally, and work in varying weather conditions
- Commitment to safety excellence and proactive hazard identification
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
