Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle safely on dedicated regional routes between Raleigh and key distribution centers
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining DOT compliance and safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks
- Document freight handling and delivery status using electronic logging systems
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service and fuel consumption
- Represent Swift professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Dedication to weekly availability and consistent performance
