Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on dedicated OTR routes
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient load delivery scheduling
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Manage basic trailer maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Utilize GPS technology for route optimization and real-time updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of HOS regulations and electronic logging
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to stay out 5-7 days per week
- Basic understanding of load securement procedures
