Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (26-28ft) for local and regional deliveries in New Orleans metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and mileage records
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling during transit
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Manage route optimization for timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial vehicle experience
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans area streets and traffic patterns
- Reliable personal vehicle for commuting to dispatch location
- Smartphone with data access for dispatch apps
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Pass background check and drug screening
