Responsibilities
- Safely load and secure freight to ensure damage-free delivery.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using GPS and mapping tools.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain compliance.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers throughout the haul.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the truck cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B license (or equivalent commercial driving experience).
- Ownership of a clean, well-maintained box truck (typically 24'-26' size).
- Proven track record of safe driving with a clean driving record (MVR check).
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement procedures.
- Reliable smartphone with data plan for communication and navigation.
- Ability to lift and move cargo with or without mechanical assistance.
