Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight within San Jose and surrounding regions
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules and DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspections, and documentation
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch team
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Ensure secure cargo handling and temperature control when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Familiarity with San Jose area geography and California highways
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance
