Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for weekend deliveries within DC, MD, and VA
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status via GPS tracking and mobile apps
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Complete post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan area routes
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts, 6AM-6PM)
- Basic computer literacy for digital logbooks
