Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) to transport freight across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage delivery documentation and provide real-time shipment updates
- Adapt to changing delivery schedules and traffic conditions while maintaining on-time performance
- Represent the company professionally with all clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and basic navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and hazardous materials handling (if applicable)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in varying weather conditions
- Previous experience with flatbed or refrigerated trailers preferred
