Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across New York City and surrounding areas
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Manage paperwork including delivery confirmations and bills of lading
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and boroughs
- Pass mandatory background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) and occasional holidays
- Basic computer literacy for digital logbooks
