Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to transport cargo to various destinations in the Miami area and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and vehicle maintenance.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secure and protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, mileage, and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required by the schedule.
