Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods across the region on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and complete all necessary delivery documentation.
- Adhere to traffic laws and company safety protocols to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Clean driving record and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Minimum 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
- Willingness to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
