Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries across Texas and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Efficiently manage delivery schedules using GPS technology and route optimization tools
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery status
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism at all customer interaction points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional overnight trips
- Excellent time management and route planning skills
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices and fleet management systems
