Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on local and regional delivery routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading (BOL), and delivery receipts.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and hazardous material protocols.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, weight limits, and cargo securement.
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holidays.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
