Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight to designated locations in the San Jose area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the truck clean and presentable, both inside and out.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) valid.
- Clean driving record with no more than one preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work a consistent weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday) as required.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to perform loading/unloading duties and conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks.
