Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to transport freight across the Southwest region and beyond.
- Cargo Handling: Ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and distributed accurately according to delivery manifests.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD), bills of lading, and delivery receipts for every stop.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and dock personnel at delivery locations.
Qualifications
- Class A CDL: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required; Hazmat endorsement is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Clean Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical tasks.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday - Sunday) and overnight shifts as required.
