Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local/regional deliveries within Nashville metropolitan area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle freight loading/unloading using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Complete electronic logging system (ELD) documentation and delivery paperwork
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Nashville area roads and traffic patterns
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work both Saturday and Sunday shifts (6am-6pm)
