Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks over designated routes to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records (Eld/Elogs compliance).
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and a background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required by the shift schedule.
