Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on the road.
- Deliver freight to various locations within New York and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo with care, adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and valid MVR.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and sit for extended periods of time.
- Experience with dispatch software or electronic logging devices is a plus.
