Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to deliver freight to designated routes in San Diego and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, electronic logging devices (ELD), and delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with receivers and dispatch.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Assist in resolving any delivery issues or customer complaints efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional overtime.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service (HOS) rules.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
