Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes within the San Diego area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo properly and verify delivery documentation for accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and a tidy vehicle cabin at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Assist with loading and unloading operations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong physical stamina to lift, pull, and push cargo.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD).
