Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (26+ ft) for local freight delivery within Houston metro area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and basic warehouse equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients
- Operate in all weather conditions following seasonal safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial truck driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of Houston area highways and delivery zones
- Pass background check and drug screening (company-paid)
- Basic math skills for delivery verification
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to start shifts as early as 5:00 AM on weekends
