Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for regional routes within Texas
- Load/unload freight with precision while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies
- Represent Swift Logistics with professional conduct at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highway system
- DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Ability to work independently while following company procedures
