Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van) for weekend deliveries
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Collaborate with logistics team for seamless load transfers
- Represent Swift Transportation with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical examination
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and electronic logging devices
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Flexibility to work weekends with occasional overnight stays
