Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers for local and regional delivery routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, verifying weight and quantities using scales and checklists.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and FMCSA regulations.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and valid DOT number.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Excellent driving record with no serious traffic violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to work flexible weekend schedules, including Saturdays and Sundays.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
