Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional deliveries within Texas
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs per FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment handling
- Adapt routes for weather/traffic conditions using GPS technology
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with DOT requirements
- Submit maintenance reports and coordinate repairs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb trailer steps
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Dallas metroplex and Texas highways
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging
- Flexible schedule availability (Friday-Sunday shifts)
- Transportation Security Administration (TSA) clearance preferred
