Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for weekend delivery routes across Columbus metro area
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Deliver time-sensitive freight while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions at delivery sites
- Document all delivery discrepancies and maintain shipment documentation
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of Columbus area roadways and traffic patterns
- Availability for Saturday/Sunday shifts with occasional holiday coverage
- Pass background check and drug screening per company policy
- Proficient in using GPS systems and electronic logging devices
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
