Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (box trucks or flatbeds) for local and regional deliveries
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems for on-time deliveries
- Inspect and maintain vehicle pre/post-trip documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time delivery updates
- Handle cargo loading/unloading with proper equipment usage
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Chicago area roads and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for digital logs and routing systems
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays
