Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for weekend freight delivery across Charlotte metro area
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD) compliance
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts with precision
- Adapt to dynamic schedules and weather conditions while maintaining on-time delivery
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients using telematics systems
- Uphold strict safety protocols and company maintenance standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in over-the-road or regional trucking
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and ELD compliance
- Strong navigation skills with GPS/telematics experience
- Flexible weekend availability (Friday-Sunday shifts)
- Pass background check and drug screening
