Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional routes
- Execute precise loading/unloading procedures with attention to cargo security
- Maintain DOT compliance logs and vehicle inspection reports
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Document delivery status and handle paperwork accurately
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and operate loading equipment
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Florida highway systems
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts (4:00 AM shifts)
- Preferable hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain
