Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods within Columbus metro area and surrounding regions
- Perform pre-trip inspections and post-trip documentation to comply with DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques using provided equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate status updates via dispatch systems
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Report mechanical issues or road hazards immediately to maintenance team
- Uphold company safety standards and participate in monthly training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Columbus area roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays with occasional holiday availability
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
