Responsibilities
- Safe and Efficient Delivery: Transport packages to residential and commercial addresses throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area safely and on time.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, professional, and courteous interactions with customers during each delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is clean, fueled, and in good working condition before and after shifts.
- Proof of Delivery: Accurately record delivery information using handheld devices or mobile apps to ensure all parcels are accounted for.
- Route Planning: Optimize delivery routes efficiently to minimize travel time and fuel consumption while adhering to traffic laws.
- Package Handling: Safely handle packages of various sizes, ensuring they are free from damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A current, valid driver's license (Class C) and a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Vehicle Ownership: Reliable personal vehicle with valid insurance and registration.
- Smartphone: Access to a smartphone with data capabilities for navigation and digital proof of delivery.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as required by business needs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow directions precisely.
