Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages to residential and commercial locations throughout Albuquerque.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of the driver, vehicle, and cargo.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance issues or mechanical problems immediately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by handling packages with care and maintaining a professional, friendly demeanor.
- Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and electronic paperwork using a mobile device.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring weight distribution is balanced and safe.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle or willingness to use a company vehicle.
