Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles over designated routes in NY and OH.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack) ensuring safety.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork according to DOT regulations (ELD compliant).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
