Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive straight trucks and tractor-trailers on designated routes within the Jacksonville area.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring proper securement to prevent damage.
- Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and company safety policies.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and electronic logs (EOBR).
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and warehouse personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Valid Class A or Class B CDL license required.
- Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Documentation: Current DOT medical card and background check clearance.
- Schedule: Reliable availability for weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday).
