Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using appropriate tie-down methods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while operating commercial vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Absolutely clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work weekends without prior notice.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, and push cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
