Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance before and after every shift.
- Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, timesheets, and delivery receipts in our electronic logging system (ELD).
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries at designated terminals and customer sites.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams regarding route changes, traffic delays, or vehicle issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with required endorsements (Tanker and Hazmat preferred but not always required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen certification.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and driving record verification.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in various weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday through Sunday).
