Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including DVIRs, Bills of Lading, and electronic logs accurately and on time.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and fellow employees.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and vehicle, ensuring readiness for the next shift.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with the proper endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, etc. preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) and current DOT medical card.
- Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and occasional holidays.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in traffic or adverse weather conditions.
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the job, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
