Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for weekend delivery routes in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Manage delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Document delivery confirmations and handle any route discrepancies
- Represent Rocky Mountain Transport with professionalism during customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and navigation skills
- Availability for weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) with occasional holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and reporting
