Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive 18-wheelers and tractor-trailers for local and regional routes on weekends.
- Load and Unload: Secure cargo using straps and chains to ensure safe transport and delivery.
- Pre-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough visual inspections of the vehicle before and after each shift to ensure roadworthiness.
- Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Record Keeping: Accurately complete daily logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports.
- Customer Service: Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients at pickup and drop-off locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL: Must hold a current and valid driver's license.
- Driving Experience: Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean MVR: No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday - Sunday) consistently.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and pass a DOT physical exam (medical card required).
- Documentation: Valid DOT medical card and Motor Carrier License (MCL).
