Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers over various road conditions.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with required endorsements.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
