Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to handle local delivery operations. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe transport of goods to clients across the Wichita area.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vans to transport goods to local destinations in Wichita and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload merchandise efficiently while ensuring cargo security and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service during drop-offs and pickups.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a standard Class C license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management, organizational, and navigation skills.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or overtime as required by business needs.
- Basic computer literacy for logging purposes.
